Do you need a Site Visit to get a Lighting Proposal ?
We mainly work from Plans such as Autocad or sometimes from basic dimensions advised. We then use advanced lighting design software to calculate and determine the optimum lighting systems for a Project.
However, for existing retrofit Projects, this may not be suitable because the installion points may need to be kept in any refit of lighting to minimise installation costs. Often the Plants are old or there is no Plans available.
No Plans Available:
For this reason, we sometimes visit the site directly - typically Factories, Warehouses but sometimes internal and external car parks and other areas, for the purpose of collecting information so we can make a lighting Proposal. However, to avoid both delay in arranging a visit and wasting time on a visit to a site which is unsuitable, we would ask that the following be sent to us:
1) A general photograph of the area to be illuminated to be sent to us by email - This tells us quickly the scale of the Project, the length of time a visit would take and whether it is suitable for our type of lighting.
2) A Close-Up photograph (if possible) of the existing Luminaire - We can usually tell whether this Luminaire is efficient or not.
3) The Wattage & type of the existing Lamps (Bulbs) – read label - This tells us efficiency of Lamp and gives an idea of annual power consumption.
If we believe we can offer a worth while improvement or saving, we will advise immediately and arrange a visit to determine exact costs and savings, light levels etc. We make no charge for this visit or Proposal as long as we can fit the visit into one of our regular schedules.
Please send an email with details to info@veelite.com
If Plans are Available:
This may be an Autocad drawing showing a carpark or warehouse, etc. For basic projects, advise the length, width and height (if relevant) of the area to be illuminated together with a brief description of what the area is to be used for (eg. Indoor car park, warehouse aisle, etc). We will usually respond in 24-48 hours with a detailed layout/calculation and a quote.
