Cranfield University recently installed LED Bollards to illuminate Pathways at the Campus. The University is located between Bedford and Milton Keynes and has used VeeLite Floodlights in previous projects.
The LED Bollard is ideal for energy saving as it uses only 15w at full power and typically replaces a Bollard which would use 77w. In addition to this saving, an internal motion sensor version is offered so the Luminaire can be either switched off or switched to 10% output automatically if there is no traffic nearby. With the lighting in default mode, the energy savings would be 100% or 98% respectively.
Other options include Emergency, rooted or Flanged Base, different RAL finishes or various heights to 2.3m on request. There is also a Mini-version of this Bollard available – see Product page.
