Galvanising Plant Lighting

New Galvanising Plant lighting consisting of robust industrial High-Bay lighting has recently been installed at Pillar Wedge, a Galvanising Plant at Heywood, Lancashire (near Manchester).   This follows a similar exercise at Eastleigh, Hampshire where new VeeLite Luminaires were installed in 2012 and monitored for a year to check corrosion.  Galvanising Plants are notorious for corrosion of aluminium, steel and metal parts.  Standard fittings were being replaced every few months in some locations.  VeeLite has a good reputation in this area as many of our Products were introduced initially for tough environments such as the oil and petro-chemical industries.

The VeeLite industrial HighBays, with high performance long life Metal Halide lamps, have also provided a 50% energy saving.  Because of the better optical system, only 1 Luminaire was needed to replace every 2 of the existing Luminaires – Both old and new fittings were 400w version and installed at approx 6m height.  The are also available in LED version and/or in recessed version.

For Galvanising Plant lighting or general industrial lighting Projects, VeeLite can advise in advance the lighting level requirements and a costed Proposal.  When advised (or shown) the existing lighting, we can calculate the energy saving and payback.   In addition to Metal Halide lighting systems, VeeLite also offer T5 Fluorescent systems and LED lighting systems, depending on the nature of the Project.

An option of remote control gear is also offered.  This removes much of the weight of the Luminaire and allows easier access/maintenance.
