Wall Light with Motion Sensor

A Wall Light with Motion Sensor is shown here outside each Apartment in a scheme in Enfield, North London.  The ‘Smartlites’ provide high light levels, energy efficiency and long life lamps.  Each Wall light contains 2 x 42w Compact Fluorescent lamps and a Motion Sensor.  The lighting runs at 10% power/output until the motion Sensor detects movement (range approx 6m).  It then switches to 100% light output immediately.  A 35w LED Wall Light option is also available.

Wall Light with Motion Sensor

After a preset time delay of 2 minutes, the light output is switched back to 10%. This time delay of 2 minutes starts following the last movement detected.

An alternative version of this Wall Light with Motion sensor would switch the Luminaire to zero light output mode (instead of to 10% light output).

A photocell is offered as an option.  This is suitable for fittings in remote areas where there will not be false switching caused by car headlights, nearby lighting, etc.  On most projects, the Contractor will wire all luminaires to 1 remote photo cell.

In versions of the Smartlite up to 1 x 42w CFL, Emergency conversion is offered.

Smartlites are suitable for Residential Building, Schools, Industrial and Commercial buildings. For commercial buildings, with a possibility of overnight pedestrian traffic, the Version supplied is usually the Wall light with Motion sensor (High/Low).  For Buildings with no overnight traffic, the version supplied is usually Wall Light with Motion sensor (On/Off).  For some Projects, a version with no Motion Sensor is often appropriate.
